Rank Certification and Promotions

1. All rank currently held by individuals who are certified under acknowledged jujitsu associations or ryus is transferable at face value.
2. All Judo rank which is certified under acknowledged national or international associations will be the equivalent of two grades lower in USJJA rank.
   1. However, judoka who have bonifide judo kata capability in Goshin Jitsu or Kime no Kata, as certified by a qualified kata instructor, kata examiner, or kata judge qualify for USJJA rank one level below their judo rank. This may also be certified by the submission of a video.
   2. Judoka may submit additional video of jujitsu skills in lieu of kata, or adjunctive to kata, to attain a rank evaluation.
3. Ranking in other martial arts does not qualify individuals for automatic promotion and each individual seeking rank evaluation must submit the Rank Evaluation form, as well as other endorsements.
4. Promotions for all levels will be made in accordance with the Promotion Criteria Syllabus (See same).
